General Cable Cabling Assistance

Article 310, Table 310.15(B) 16 Allowable Ampacities for Insulated Conductors up to 2000V, Correction Factors, and Other Possible Constraints. It is the responsibility of the Designer, Installer and End User to verify that all NEC, CEC and Local Codes/Standards are strictly adhered too. Consult Rockwell Automation Drive Family Motor Cable Length Restrictions Tables (Rockwell Automation Publication DRIVES-IN001L-EN-P for maximum VFD cable lengths). To protect the motor from reflective waves, limit the length of the motor cables from the drive to the motor. General Cable can provide some direction as to what cables could be considered for use with these drives since NEC Article 430 Motors, Motor Circuits and Controllers would be the minimum guidelines for review. General Cable cannot recommend a specific cable for a specific drive system since we do not know all drive system parameters and customer's applications.
