Bob Zamarripa and Mike Smith of OneSource Distributors, LLC, Oceanside, CA, announced that the company is acquiring D&D Tool and Supply of Vista, CA. In the financial year 2008-2009, the SDFB distributed 11.3 million pounds of food – the equivalent of 8.75 million meals! Argo Electric and Pacific Parts & Controls, with revenues in excess of $14 million for fiscal 2001, are owned and operated by Frank Renek. The companies would become part of OneSource Distributors on or about Feb. 28. Renek, current president and chief executive officer, founded Pacific Parts & Controls in 1974. In 1995, Pacific Parts & Controls acquired Argo Electric Supply.

The company received the Supply Chain Leader Award from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for its performance as a PG&E supplier. “OneSource successfully partnered with PG&E to launch a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) pilot for electrical contractors,” said Steve Coleman, director of sourcing for PG&E. “OneSource has reduced inventory, enhanced customer service and increased order-fill rates.”

OneSource sales for fiscal 2001, including OCES, are projected to exceed $120 million. The combined company will have more than 200 employees.
