POSITION: Inside Sales Representative
LOCATION: Buena Park – Branch 12
SUPERVISOR(S): Mary Helfrich & Alan Heckendorn


GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Sells products for various manufactures to business and industrial users. Works cooperatively with other members of the inside sales and field sales team to grow sales with existing and new customers .May act as a liaison between customers and dedicated field sales providing pricing, availability and any required customer service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer incoming sales calls & assist with counter sales as needed
• Responsible for complete order management, including expediting and communication with the customer.
• Sales order entry and purchasing of customer requirements for specific price lines
• Report lost sales
• Write credits in a timely manner
• Attend product and training sessions
• Organize and maintain product catalog library
• Develop superior product knowledge and assist customers with product application


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Basic computer skills – MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Above average typing skills and 10 key by touch
• Good communication skills
• Excellent phone etiquette & organization skills
• Passion for customer service

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree (A.A, A.S or A.A.S.) or some college coursework
3-5 years counter, inside and/or field sales experience in the electrical distribution industry

Equivalent combination of Education and Experience

Position Title: Project Specialist Department: Project Packing Division
Reports To: V.P. Project Packing Division

Position Purpose:
This position supports the Project Packaging Division Plan

Essential Job Functions:
Through previous background and experience, the candidate must be able to demonstrate, with or without an accommodation, the ability to:
• Effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organization staff and vendors. Competencies include excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions


Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform take-offs and develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specs; negotiate and secure project orders
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with assigned local sales team(s) to articulate Division’s strategy and goals; leverage local sales team to drive project sales at targeted accounts/market segments
- Manage vendor relationships to leverage cost-favorable packaging of projects
- Provide training, joint sales calls and applications support to sales teams for assigned vendors, products and packaged projects
- Identify upcoming project opportunities and influence customer specs to favor PPD’s package

Additional Requirements:
- Strong background in take-offs
- Strong background in power distribution, low and medium voltage gear
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management capabilities.

Education/Experience:
Associate Degree (A.A, A.S or A.A.S.) or Bachelor Degree (B.A or B.S.)
5+ years Project and/or Product Management experience
3+ years sales experience

Equivalent combination of Education and Experience
